“Thanks prof. Kavanagh for your teacher training held in CTP EDA Città di Castello, Perugia. I had never heard before any of my colleagues saying thanks for being invited there. They did not even want to leave the room. And in this period of high crisis at school, such an experience gives us the right push to go on believing in our job and in what we do for our students with much difficulty every day.
Thank you very much Fergal, we are waiting for you whenever you want.”

Press Play and Tune Into English!
It is no accident that the word “play” refers to both music and games – both engage students on an emotional level, involving them completely. Pop songs are a very powerful and motivating teaching tool, while games and quizzes challenge students, allowing them to use English for real purposes and clear goals. This talk looks at combining the two teaching tools, through an interactive musical quiz.

Tune Into English
One of the best ways to involve students in the learning process is to use music and song. We show how they fix vocabulary and structures into long-term memory and look at practical examples that you can use in your classroom.
