1974, David Bowie and Geoff MacCormack took the ferry to France, then sailed from Cannes to New York on 3rd April. Bowie would never live in Britain again, subsequently residing in Los Angeles, Berlin, Switzerland, Sydney, Mustique and New York.

1967, the photoshoot for The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Band took place in Chelsea, directed by Peter Blake. The Beatles returned to Abbey Road for a late-night recording session, from 11pm until 7.30am.
