Dear Teacher,
I am excited about returning to Spain with The Tune Into English Roadshow on the 5th March. I will also be presenting a session at the Innovation in Secondary Education Conference at the University of Huelva the previous day. The show regulary visited Spain before the enforced break of 2020 and you can see a 36-minute news report from 2010 here.
The Tune Into English Roadshow
As well as Spain, the Roadshow visits Lombardy, Abruzzo and Puglia this month. Thank you for all the wonderful comments from this year’s 20th anniversary show. I would be delighted to come to your school – you can see full details here, please get in touch!
Tune Into Ireland
With St. Patrick’s Day on the 17th March, there will be two special presentations of this special session this month. If you are in Milan on the afternoon of 8th March please drop by Cascina Cuccagna for the opening day of Ireland Week – full details are online. The following evening there is a looser celebration in Magenta where I might even sing a few songs!

Finally, on a sad note, ELT guru Roy Boardman, MBE, passed away on the 22nd February. From his arrival in Italy in 1965 he revolutionised English Language Teaching, heading the British Council of Naples for many years. Always enthusiastic and encouraging, Roy was an early champion of Tune Into English and contributed many worksheets to the site, as well as hosting Teacher Training sessions and shows. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time. May he Rest In Peace.
Best wishes,
Fergal Kavanagh
