September 2007 - European Day of Languages
Dear Teacher,

Next Wednesday (26th September) is the European Day of Languages - an ideal opportunity to highlight to your students how pop music can help them learn English. For more details, click here.

Just to remind you, the Teachers’ Area of the website features downloadable worksheets to exploit pop songs, many of these sent in by your colleagues from all over the world. Three new worksheets have now been added:

Home – Michael Bublé, submitted by Caterina Ziliani, Milan
I Predict A Riot/Ruby – The Kaiser Chiefs, submitted by James Ratcliff, France
Twist And Shout – The Beatles, submitted by Analía Massa, Argentina

I would of course be delighted to receive any worksheets you have written.

The Tune Into English Roadshow will be beginning its Autumn tour on Wednesday, the European Day of Languages. The online video is now available as a link to youtube (from the Tune Into English homepage), so those of you who haven’t previously been able to access it should now have no problem. I hope to be able to come to your school in the coming year.

I hope you are settling back into the new school year,

I look forward to hearing from you,

Best wishes,

Fergal Kavanagh
