May 2007 - May Newsletter
I hope you had a good break for the 1st of May. As we begin the final month of the academic year, why not treat your students to a song? The Tune Into English database of downloadable worksheets continues to grow – the latest additions include Take That’s “Shine” by Carrie Elise Rodella and James Blunt’s “You’re Beautiful” by Prof.ssa Laura Casolero. These can be accessed through the Teachers’ Area of www.tuneintoenglish.com. Of course, if you would like to contribute to the list, we would be delighted to hear from you.
You may be also interested in reading the article “La Lingua Della Musica Pop”, written by Rosanna Cassano, and published in the March edition of Europa Vicina – you can find a link to this on the Our Theory section of the site.
The Students’ Area continues to grow, and thank you to Prof.ssa Claudia Cantaluppi for sending me details of the Mouse Over Music site – take a look, and let us know if you find other interesting links.
I would also like to thank the students of 38° Circolo Didattico “Quarati”, Naples, for the wonderful drawings they sent me after my visit to the school. You can see these on the Tune Into English for Kids page.
There are still some dates available in May for The Tune Into English Roadshow (or indeed Tune Into Ireland), so please do not hesitate to contact us – your students will thank you!
I look forward to hearing from you,
Have a good May,
