David Copley, the voice of Sean Penn

Two-time Academy Award winner Sean Penn plays a former rock star in Paolo Sorrentino’s 2011 film This Must Be The Place. The official presentation at Cannes Film Festival featured footage of Penn lip-synching to the voice of David Copley, although this did not feature in the final version of the film.
