To celebrate Cork’s position as European Capital of Culture 2005, in collaboration with the Comune of Acerra (NA), Fergal Kavanagh brought a taste of Naples to the city.
A wood-fired pizza oven was set up outside the Opera House, four pizzaioli (including award winning pizza maker to Bill Clinton Ernesto Cacialli) travelled from Naples, and for five days the people of Cork enjoyed the authentic taste of Italy with live music and entertainment.
